The aim of writing this thesis was to analyse 100 Gigabyte Ethernet traffic in approach of packet level.
In the first chapter there is a theoretical summary, which gives the reader a basic understanding of the applied solving thema and the software, hardware tools.Hereby it provides the basis for understanding the thesis.
As the first step, I got acquainted with the essential technological basics, the internal structure and the interface of the C-GEP 100 measuring apparatus, which can be found in the second chapter.
After then, I started to carry an initiative measurement into execution into the world of 100 Gigabyte Ethernet, where I got acquainted with the JDSU TB/MTS-800 measuring apparatus and the RFC 2544 basic measurement. The latter was implemented on an optical backbone network called Huawei OptiX OSN 6800.
All of it is explained in the third chapter.
After the initiative measurement, I am engaged in the set-up of the measurement and the configuration opportunities on C-GEP tool. At the second part of the chapter I also evaluate this measurement.
In the last chapter, I summarize my work and draw the conclusions from the measurements.
