In my thesis I will introduce the world of web services. There are only two type of making web services. The first one is using the SOAP protocol, which is part of W3C. This is why the protocol is so strict, because in every case must be implemented the all part of the message. The other way to create a service is called RESTful. In that case it uses the whole HTTP properties and a format of the message will depend on the incoming request. These concepts are built in JavaEE 6 with the following API, the API for SOAP is JAX-WS and for RESTful is JAX-RS. I want to test these APIs, so first of all I have to create my own application. When I am done, then I can implement the two types of web service. And finally I will compare the APIs to each other.
