Nowadays the regulatory environment affecting the lightning protection standard is dynamically changing. On the 5th of March, 2015 the 54/2014 (XII.5.) regulation, (National Fire (Safety) Code and Standard) and the related Fire Safety Technical Directives enetered into force. They also provided new requirements regarding the installation of lightnin protection devices, what must comply with during the implementation of the lightning protection.
Besides these, its nearly a year that on the 13th of January, 2014 the first edition of the Lightning Standard MSZ EN 62305 2006.,which was published in 2006 was withdrawn, the norm since then is the second edition MSZ EN 62305 2011., which was published in 2011. The third edition of the Lighning Protection Standard is planned to enter into force in 2018, therefore about this there are only committee draft working materials, until they are comfirmed to be the standard.
In my thesis for the master’s degree, i will give a cronologic summary of the changes of the lighning protection standard and its regulatory environment, as well as i will show the proper execution of the lighning protection standard and its regulatory environment. And during my work, regarding the main aspects i compare the new 54/2014. (XII.5.) BM regulation with the previous 28/2011. (IX.6.)BM regulation and the current norm of the lightning protection standard with the working materials of the third edition.
