I made my thesis at Gamma Digital Ltd. Its topic is related to the centralized data collection of Chemical Works of Gedeon Richter Plc. in Budapest.

The newly installed walk-in chambers and cleaning machines of the factory’s injection producing area did not have any centralized data collecting software. This project was assigned to Gamma Digital Ltd.

My task was to integrate the ABB Compact HMI 800 software into the existing centralized data collecting system, the Rockwell Automation Historian. For that, I had to become familiar with the centralized data collecting system of Gedeon Richter Plc., and with the software I had to use.

The walk-in chambers with integrated hydrogen peroxide vapour (HPV) generators and the cleaning machines contained together six PLC devices, which had to be connected with the data collecting server. These are equipped with Siemens S7-200 and S7-300 PLC. I had to establish the connection of the PLC to the central data collecting server through OPC.
