In choosing the topic of my thesis, my consul looked for such a task for me which both helps the development in the Lufthansa Technik Budapest aircraft maintenance company and at the same time gives me the chance to improve my professional and engineering career. It was my task to get acquainted with the functioning, parameters and structure of the transmitted messages of the ARINC-429 Standard.

In half a year, I had to plan a device, which aims to receive standard signals, what is able to make a serial communication with the control PC. I had to make the control code of microcontroller in C programming language and the LabVIEW program for processing and evaluation of the received signals. I had to verify operation of the completed circuit in lab and in the real industrial environment too.

Due to the complexity of the task I had to cope with many obstacles, problems during the construction and I also had to get acquainted with many new programs and applications. Among these programs I had to mention the CAD based planning of the circuit and the printed circuit layout. The MPLAB development environment used for the programming of the PIC24 microcontroller device and LabVIEW program used for processing of the received data.
