The aim of this thesis is to design a software for controlled degradation of the life span of an electrolytic aluminium capacitor. The technical parameters of the aluminum electrolyte capacitor (due to its technology) change over time. Therefore, it is necessary to degrade some devices, so the change of the parameters can be observed.
During my assignment, I became acquainted with the construction, technical parameters and application of aluminum electrolytic capacitors, the causes and ways of possible defects, and the underlying correlations of the calculation of real life constraints in the given circumstances. With this, the operational understanding of the aging equipment, its proper configuration, and the processes within the controlled framework, the creation of a supervisory software was a goal.
The document describes the theoretical background of the properties of the aluminium electrolytic capacitor, its ageing and the life expectancy calculation, the structure of the equipment, and these use in the appropriate parts of the monitoring system.
In addition to this, I have made the complete monitoring software in Python, and the testing of the modules are also presented.
