Measurement of permanent magnetic synchronous machine and electric drive

The electric, mechanical and vehicle engineer students of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), as BME-motion team, have started an electric powered racing car constuction. The team independently planning and constructing the car, with the professors of BME. According to plan, the engines of the car will be two permanent magnetic synchronous motor, in the back wheel.

In my dissertation, I have dealt with the measurement of the ready permanent magnet hub motor. My work was extend to create the test environment, to measuring the engine and to evaluate the results. In my dissertation, I present measurement and signal processing methods, especially the theory of electric machines measuring technology. I present the operation of sensors and measuring instruments and the applied test environment. I look at the theory of permanent magnetic synchronous motors and the driving system of the team's electric car, paying particular attention to the hub motor. Finally, I present my measurements and the evaluation of the results.
