Development of an Android client for the TeamMeUp sportmate finder and sport event organizer system

In our busy world the need of being able to use the same applications on different smart devices is increasing. Thanks to the development and widespread of the mobile internet more and more user always online. When we start to develop a new system it is important to develop its mobile application too. TeamMeUp is a sport mate finder and sporting event organizer system, the aim of which is to give an integrated and easy to use interface for sport-loving people. The main purpose of TeamMeUp is to make it easier to arrange countless smaller or bigger sporting event, for example two-person joggings or group aerobic workouts.

In my thesis I have made a client application for devices with Android. The basic idea, history, development and the possible future of TeamMeUp is also presented. I show you about the server's realisation and the used technologies. The structure and operation of the Android system is also introduced. The available and useable technologies in the application will be discussed. I will present the steps of the planning process and the designer’s decisions in detail. After all, the created application is reviewed, in which we can learn about the functioning of the used technologies in their correct environment with the help of some examples.
