The Verba Recording System is capable of recording phone calls and video conferences in IP networks. As the system is mainly used in professional business environment, it is highly plausible, that it contains millions of calls and video conferences.

My task was to design and implement a graphical user interface - which supports tablets and mobile devices – for efficiently browsing and searching in large amount of recorded calls. The chosen Android version was 4.0, as it was the version to support tablet and mobile devices. At the beginning of the semester, I had an initial application for tablet devices, which was formerly created by me and one of my fellow students. I had to refactor this application to support multiple screens, and I had to add some extra features like playing back video calls, listening to ongoing calls in real-time and adding annotations to the call records.

During my thesis I present the available methods to make an Android application screen size independent, and I present how the media playback system works on Android.

At the end of my thesis I test my application on multiple screens and I examine the potential of further development.
