For my Master’s Thesis I chose the topic of developing an Automated Ambulance Control System. Through the years of the Master’s Programme, I’ve studied some of the exisiting ambulance control techniques. Although there are many countries around the world (including Hungary) that exploit modern technology to help rescue services, the usability and actual stages of development of these systems vary from country to country. In my thesis I aim to provide an overview of the systems used in the past and the systems currently in use to analyse their benefits and drawbacks. Using my own ideas combined with the experience I gained I worked out a multi-module system that may help in the ambulance control processes. Then, I have implemented the components of this system both in the ambulance control center and in the ambulance cars. Every second matters when saving a life and the system I developed should make the work of rescue services faster and more efficient by utilising the tools of technology in a digital world.
