Autonomous control software implementation for mobile robots to the Eurobot contest

The RoBUTE Team was formed in 2007 at the Department of Automation and Applied Informatics of BME with the aim to design an own autonomous mobile robot for the annual international Eurobot robotics contest. As a member of the team, I participated in the 2011 contest. In my thesis I present the robot designed by our team, and introduce the design and implementation of the programs that I developed for the operation of the robot.

In the first chapter I give a brief summary of the Eurobot contest and the rules of 2011. In the second chapter I present the robot designed by our team and I summarize the solutions that my teammates executed. In the third chapter I explain the tasks I had to do during designing the robot. In the fourth chapter I give an overview of the designing of the softwares that I developed. In the fifth chapter I particularize the implementation of the high-level contol program, and I also touch upon the preparation of the strategies that we had to realize during the matches. In the sixth chapter I evaluate the accomplished solution and I discuss the possibilities for development.

In the appendix of the thesis the source codes of the developed programs and the detailed rules of the contest can be found.
