Development of autonomous line follower robot with Android integration

Nowadays the smartphones and the compact robots spreading are more and more significant, these devices are in a daily use by a lot of people. At the stores, the most drone can be controlled with a smartphone, usually the robot streams video to the smartphone screen. It seems that the compact robots and the smartphones relationship will be more closer in the future.

The dissertation’s target is a robot-smartphone fusion building from the frame, through the circuit design and building to the smartphone application. The smartphone is not only a remote controller for the robot but also it increases the system's ability with the Google Vision OCR function using the smartphone's camera.

The robot has a remote control mode. It is capable of independent line following and when the smartphone is attached to its top, the system can control its speed after interpreting the tables next to the line path.

During the development process tools utilized by professionals were used, which were Android Studio, Matlab, SolidWorks, Eagle, Platform IO.
