In the life cycle of software development the task to maximize the software quality is getting more and more significant. To qualify the users expected quality, we used software testing. Software testing nowadays is not only an integral part of software development. It starts to leave his former underrated status behind. Since ensuring the appropriate quality of today’s extremely complex software systems, require serious testing efforts. Furthermore the high quality of the testing is significantly reduce the costs of the project.
Previously, the software tests were run manually, and the test cases were written by hand. This procedure is time consuming and more likely to do mistakes. The modern software developments process either took short lead time and either can be easily maintenanced. Because in the life cycle of the software nearly half of the time is consumed by software testing, even though the goal for proper testing should be to minimize the process time. This increased requirements led to the idea of model-based testing. The next generation of testing tools, use the model-based testing procedure (MBT) to deal with higher abstraction level tasks.
The task treated at a higher level of abstraction, can assume the further growth of productivity, nevertheless it eliminates any inconsistency, and the system optimization is also performed.
In my dissertation I would examine a specified selected interface of a multinational company’s LTE solution, with the help of MBT.
Solving my task the Conformiq Designer™ automated test system help to achieve my target. I will compare the automatically generate test results by this software and the former hand made test results with the other testers results. Than finally I will prove my point next to MBT, meanwhile I will draw attention to the difficulties of using this method.
