A new technology, the cloud computing became more and more popular among companies. In the first part of this thesis, the characteristics of the cloud computing and its services and technology are summarized. Next, a testbed is created based on an open source solution for the cloud computing. After the installation and testing of cloud computing infrastructure experimental scenarios are developed. A job scheduling framework developed in the Analysis, Design and Development of ICT systems Laboratory provide a great opportunity for the experiments. The framework contains physical computers running different functions. The control computer receives and schedules incoming jobs. I perform measurements in the virtualized environment, I examine the time parameters of the applications run multiple times (response time, execution time, etc.). I carry out the experiments by increasing the job's number and check how to change the time parameters (under given distributions). I test application that calculate Fourier transform of complex numbers for a given size of inputs. After I complete the tests I sum up the results that I measured in the cloud computing infrastructure.
