Vessels made for Lake Balaton must meet some strict rules and environmental requirements. Due to this reason, more and more boats are controlled and powered electronically and equipped with the related analog system components.
The basic aim of my thesis is to design and implement a digital system, which benefits can be exploited in the integrated control of the ship, and thanks to this, takes the shipping experience to a whole new level. The system must meet with the following requirements: traceability of the energy management system of the ship, and controllability of the various lights form Ipad and Chartplotter.
I would like to present the NMEA 2000 standard which forms the basis of the system, and every single property of the Mastervolt, Czone and Garmin devices, which I use as building element. These helps me to design such a complex electrical plan in Microsoft Visio, which can supply with energy this complicated boat. The plan must meet strict design rules. After the verification phase, I started to develop a program in Czone Configuration Tool. All request of the customer can be found in the Czone program. The most important ones are the following: the intelligent brightness control of the lights and the generator control.
Uploading the embedded software to the Czone network was the last step of my work, which followed by a test.
