Designing and implementing web based surveillance applications for embedded systems

Nowadays one of the fastest growing technological field is the communication channels of the Internet. This has greatly increased the use of digital media services, replacing the previously used analogue services. Such services are inherent to the need for users to maintain the quality of those. I would like to solve this problem with the application I have created.

My thesis consists of two parts, designing and implementing a server-side communication logic on embedded network devices and a web user interface that uses it. After comparing two web frameworks, I created the client-side application with the React library and the server-side in Lua. In this thesis, I write about using these technologies to develop the application that meets the hardware requirements of the embedded systems and my expectations.

As a result of my work, I can show a web interface that allows you to easily configure the network parameters of the embedded devices.

My future plans include adding new functionality and design to the application that make it even more user-friendly.
