My assignment is to design an access control system that uses the chosen technologies to implement the function of allowing the people with appropriate rights to enter a building. The access control system is a system that prohibits the entry for the unauthorized people, but allows to enter to a specific room for the people with permission. In a complex building, for example a business center, there can be different types of permissions therefore it is possible that each individual can enter to a restricted part of the building, in a specific interval of the day.

The system is contains a main module that is directly connected to a computer and communicates with other submodules via radio frequency signals. Those submodules are responsible for managing the local entries. With the help of the chosen technology, they can supervise the permissions of a specific person and if he is eligible to enter, they will allow them to do so. All of the information of every specific entry are stored. The communication between the modules on the devices are managed by microcontrollers.
