Indoor navigation based intelligent shopping list application for Android

Due to the rapid development of smartphones, in these days GPS based applications became very popular, since almost all of today’s phone has built-in GPS receiver and other interfaces that can support indoor and outdoor positioning. These applications can be location based weather reports, special advertising systems, parking manager systems, but the list is endless. In this thesis, an shopping helper application will be developed that can assist users while shopping, based on indoor positioning. It allows the user to replace the old fashioned paper-based shopping lists and edit a modern, virtual shopping list on their smartphone and then the application will navigate them through the shop, making the shopping more efficient. The application will be modular, that means it can be extended later with almost unlimited functions, for example managing profiles, integrating coupons, etc. The task is to create the Smart Shopping List application for android and the Shop Database manager software.
