Design of the electric network, lightning and overvoltage protection of a family house

A lot of cottages were built in the 1990s, and with the advance of technology, user needs have been changed. With the spreading of computers and electrical equipment, households became mechanized and developed too. These devices contain advanced electronics with increasing number, which poses high value to be protected.

Thus the user wants to protect his or her devices accordingly, using lightning and surge protection in his or her modern family home In addition to the correct operation of the built-in devices one must consider its protection when designing the power supply.

In my work I surveyed the required power demand, then I have designed an electric network in accordance with the requirements.

I have analyzed the risks in accordance with current standards. To reduce the remaining risk, I also have used lightning protection and surge protection devices to protect the building (one family house). In my design I have planned the protection system according to risk management results.
