Building a DDS demo

The ubiquity of Cyber-Physical System, the research regarded of its fields of use, and the exploration of its capabilities has led to some academic work at my university department. A demonstrator, suitable to demonstrate the capabilities of such system has been made within the framework of a project.

Although, the rapid advancement of different technologies, as well as the usage of non-standard tools, software components resulted in an obsolete system, thus its modernization became inevitable.

Therefore my goal is to upgrade the demonstrator, bringing it up to date via designing a newer version of the system, and then realising it.

In my thesis I’ll introduce a technology (newer, standardized, increasingly popular) wherewith I’ll upgrade the demonstrator. I’ll compare the old system with the new one, thereafter I’ll replace the old system’s data sharing technology. Finally, through an example I’ll prove the concept to be valid.

Due to my work, the demonstrator became more up-to-date, and more standardized.
