Diplexer Design for the 2.6 GHz LTE band

In the past few years, the mobile-communication market has been biased to data trans-

fer as well. The users demand faster and more reliable internet connection even on their

cellphones and tablets nowadays. The service providers can only react by bringing in new

technologies, to satisfy consumer demand.

This calls for innovation, for new standards to come, such as the LTE. Without getting

into the details, these standards mean bigger relative bandwith and stopband attenuation

in filter design.

In my thesis, I will design and build a cavity diplexer made for the 4th generation

mobile-communication bands.
