The topic of the thesis is the development of a microcontroller based HMI module of a secondary protection device. The HMI module is designed to give easy to read and understand information about the device’s parameters, settings and various options while providing the possibility to modify said values.
In the first chapter, the topic’s actuality and its most important details are described. After that, the operation, protective functions and a typical application environment of the device is specified. The topic of the third chapter is the selection process of the hardware components used to create the device, while the fourth is about the module’s system plan. In the fifth chapter the software components are described, with full details on the program’s structure and classes. The sixth chapter contains the results of the module’s functional testing. It is followed by the user documentation containing details on the module’s operation. The thesis is summarized in the last chapter, with a perspective of possible ways to further upgrade and develop the HMI module.
