Control Algorithms of One-Phase Grid-Connected Solar Converters

This thesis describes the circuit diagrams of one-phase photovoltaic voltage converter systems and their control algorithms in different point of view.

The first chapter describes the solar cell’s physics, the power requirements against the inverter systems and the commonly used semiconductor devices in such systems.

In the second chapter I’m writing about the main circuit diagrams used mainly in full bridge inverter systems, about their control methods and common mode voltages, and about the circuits to reduce the common mode voltage. This chapter describes the generally used grid-side filters and a brief description about the Boost converter too.

The third chapter is about the control algorithms, with a brief description of their parameterization. This chapter contains the simulations made with a chosen inverter system too.

The last chapter describes the Maximum Power Point tracking algorithms, with their advantages and disadvantages.
