Visualization of human activity in simulated environment

Nowadays, more and more people are interested in smart home development. Collecting data from a house with sensors may raise ethical problems and other difficulties. In the recent years, our university department developed a software, which is able to simulate a smart home, called SensorSim. SensorSim doesn’t have suitable graphical visualization, but it can create data logs.

In my thesis I summarize some recently used smart home simulator for activity recognition. In most cases simulators use a game engine and a modelling program.

I developed my software in Unity, so I would like to get into the details with this engine. Unity is a framework, which was created for high-level game development. After that, I would like to show, how I process logged SensorSim data and the steps of the visualization. The main goal of my project was to create a visualization software.

Finally, I present each component of my software. How I implemented these parts and what difficulties occurred during the developing process.
