My task was to develop an application for a living fish transport company on Android platform. The application shows the measured results of the watertanks placed in the stowage of the vehicle. The vehicle driver can see the results on an Android tablet on the panel. The expected quality of the water in the tanks is determined by the type and amount of fish in it. The tablet receives the measured data through USB connection from the measuring instrument every second. It can display the received data of tanks seperately on a configurable User Interface.
With this application the vehicle driver gets alerted about the errors instantly on the road. He formerly gets a specification for every possible error and their steps he should proceed to solve it. The application is able to forward the recorded errors and important data constantly to the Central Server.
In the first part of the thesis I present the main functions of the application and the list of requirements for the correct operation. In the following chapters I review a brief description of the applied technologies and the detailed construction of the Fish-transport application prototype. Finally I present the support application marked for testing, that realizes the duplex USB communication willing to be used by the target-application also.
