Bias-T development for supporting high-current and high-frequency measurements

Especially important devices of EMC development and measurement technique are filters. To reduce the noise, there are different solutions depending on the characteristics of the noise signal. The first part of this paper introduces the EMC as a science and provides an outlook for automotive applications.

Second part of the paper will be developed a Bias-T, which can be used for measuring high-frequency properties of high-current devices applied in automotive industry. The device includes a pair of adequately shaped coil and capacitor, where the coil passes the current while does not affect the high-frequency measurement, and the capacitor which ensures the high frequency measurement and has not influence on the high-current line.
