Development of a distributed controlling and permission management system

Most access control systems are using RFID technology for authorization.

These systems are often used in larger buildings for giving access to specific areas and rooms.

One such example is Schönherz Zoltán Dormitory where the operators would like to manage room access with a system like these.

The peripherals (card reader, local controller) have already been installed at their deignated locations.

In my thesis I would like to present the design of the control system for this infrastructure.

Based on my previous positive experiences with Django and Angular frameworks I have decided to use them to create the system.

The system consists of two main components, which are the user interface and access control interface used by users and operators.

One of my main aspect was to create a user interface which was simple and easy to use at the same time.

My thesis also presents the structure of other similar systems as well as describing the hardware components and software requirements.

The paper also describes the choices were made to create the current system and also presents the design process as well as the decisions I had to make during designing the system.

The thesis also covers the required operations and necessary steps for the installation and also describes the tools - such as Ansible- which were used to automate the install procedure.
