Real-time monitoring and processing of buildings energy consumption

In our days there is an often mentioned subject, the growing and unreasonable energy consumption of the humanity in an extent that is never seen before. Therefore it is not surprising, that the designers of smart homes emphasize on optimizing the energy consumption of buildings. The green-energy implementations are more frequented. With the technical development and with the widespread availability of measurement techniques, the number of the power consumption optimization methods that appear is increasing, and more mature strategies are being used.

In the thesis it will be presented, how it is possible get an intelligent building’s energy consumption data in a structured manner and how it is possible optimize the energy consumption strategy analysis of these. Furthermore, it will discuss all of the major aspects of archiving, which should be considered in order to create usable data series.

Besides the archiving the energy consumption of houses, another important chapter of this thesis is creating a graphical user interface, where the heating system’s data can be monitored and a complex monitoring system can be realized.

At the beginning of the thesis the used KNX standard is presented.
