During my time on the university I have seen a surprising amount of people learning in front of computers but actually from papers. This and my general curiosity for learning techniques lead me to try to create a program which helps on students.

To get to know a little bit better what obstacles students face and to implement a program that actually helps them to learn together as a collective I reached for the process of user centered design. During the application of this technique I speak with the users about their learning habits, what makes them perform better and what is keeping them back. Based on this information I conclude goals which will guide the whole planning process.

Over the thesis the reader is lead through all five steps of the user centered design. Starting with the strategic goal a functional specification I talk about the first steps and later on we will go through the phases of the user interface design which go more and more into details.

The completed application allows the users to upload document to the server, process it for learning and be able to see how others processed the material.

At the end of the thesis I will talk about some interesting challenges and possible improvements for the application.
