Nowadays the mobile telecommunication is one of the world’s most dominant technological sectors. Nothing proves better the sector’s constant development, than the introduce of the fourth generation of mobile phone network (4G). This new technology, with its new solutions, possibilities carries the possibility of success.
In the first part of this thesis I show the theorical basis the fourth generation of mobile phone network, and the relevant, already existing technologies.
In this summary I describe the OFDM radio access, the LTE, cell network, particularly the features, and possibilities of the femtocell network.
In the second part of the thesis I show the steps of planning an OFDM based femtocell network’s resource handling. The main steps are the channel modeling, user traffic profiling, and the decision-making algorithm, which take the opportunities of the channel, and the user generated traffic into consideration, and allocate the resources of the network.
In the third section I evaluate the resource handling with a self-developed simulation environment. In addition I provide an outlook on the upgradeability of this system.
