I selected the users' service happening in new generation mobile systems as the topic of my thesis. On the one hand because this is a relatively new topic, on the other hand because the standards of the mobile telecommunication elaborating 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) did not prescribe it in one of his standards actually, how the manufacturers have to accomplish the scheduling on a what kind of manner in the course of the planning and implementing of their hardwares, so it may be interesting that the manufacturers may build up their admission control and their scheduling algorithms based on what kind of viewpoints.
I write it down after this short introduction in my paper in a couple of words, that why the efficient admission control and scheduling is crucial in the new systems. I write then from the characteristics of GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications), concerned HSCSD (High-Speed Circuit-Switched Data), GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) and EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution) systems being connected with a topic and his maximum capacities, that is how many subscribers may be active simultaneously. Since more users may be ordered to a time slot in GPRS and in EDGE, because of this there will be a word about the channel distribution algorithms.
Then there will be a word about the characteristics of UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System), concerned HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) and LTE (Long Term Evolution) systems attaching to a topic (mostly from the medium access procedures), and about the applied admission control and scheduling algorithms.
