After graduating from school, many young people are still undecided about their

occupational career. Some of them already have concrete ideas they wish to accomplish,

or they aim to start a successful career in the industry. Hungary’s largest

mentoring organization has been founded to support ambitious graduates with such

ideas and aims. The members of the mentoring organization include successful CEOs

and entrepreneurs, eager to help young graduates accomplish their goals.

Smartphones have established in the digital market for over a decade and are

among the most important technical devices. As a result, software only optimized

for desktop computers is becoming more and more obsolete for everyday users.

In my thesis, I have created an Android-based implementation of an existing

web-based platform, supporting the pairing of mentors with the most appropriate

ambitious graduates. In particular, I designed and developed a user-friendly modular

Android application, which is based on state-of-the-art technology.

The release of my application was announced on a mentor conference, which resulted

in more than 70 new installations within a week after the conference. Since

then, my application has successfully replaced the previous web-based solution and

became the primary contact platform of the mentoring organization.
