Cloud based Intelligent Home Control

Nowadays the home controlling and monitoring solutions are getting more and more attention to not only industrial users. Imageine that comfort, what such a system gives to you - the ability to control almost everything in your home, remote from anywhere in the world. And to top it all, it is relative cheap to deploy compared to other older popular solutions on the market. This examination papers goal is to implement, show and test this system. What the speciality of this project is, that it stores the datas in Microsoft Windows Azure cloud service. The user can measure thermometers, window- and door open/closed states, relays, and can write on displays. The client application was developed on the most popular mobil platform, Android. The hardware is quasi a microcontroller, which is connected to a desktop computer. On this PC runs the server application, targeted to .NET framework, it is a WPF project. It collects the datas from the microcontroller, and sends commands to it, to control the peripheries. This whole system has been deployed in my home, and I can say, it really makes the life easier.
