Wireless Lighting Device Control

The task of my thesis is to develop a wireless communication device, which can be used to control the lights in theater- and concert technics.

In the first part of my paper I introduce the operation of the light system and the DMX-512 protocol. Afterwards I compare the wired solutions with the wireless systems.

In the second part, I present the hardware design process, the selected circuit elements and the structure of the model board.

After presenting the hardware development process, in the next section I introduce the software development process in a chronological order. I discuss UART SPI protocol's operating mechanism and the alternatives of the implementation of particular parts (DMX sign processing, radiocommunication, DMX sign production).

In the fourth part I review the testing and troubleshooting procedures and I report on the results. I discuss here the test softwares and the eventual functions more detailed.

At the end of my thesis I summarize the achievements and results and I also present further development opportunities.
