Design of Patch Antenna Array

I have chosen for my thesis is the design of patch antenna array with four elements, what has the middle frequency at 2.44~GHz in the ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) band. My goal is to design two antenna arrays, realize and measure them and comparing measured results.

In my thesis I introduced the theoretical background of the chosen topic, at first I described properties of antennas the theoretical background and antenna arrays, at the next step I showed properties of microstrip lines and power dividers. After that I demonstrated steps of designing and simulating patch antenna arrays with equal and unequal Wilkinson-power dividers by a three dimensional field-simulator software, "CST Microwave Studio".

I made the designed antenna array by ironing technology and I measured the input reflexion, horizontal and vertical linear plot of power pattern and antenna gain.

In the last step I plotted the results of measurements by "Matlab" and I compared measured and simulated results.
