Development of measuring instrument for transmisson controller testing

In the automotive industry it is very important to find the root causes of a failure. It is the purpose of the series support team of the transmisson control department of the Robert Bosch company where I have written my BSc thesis. My task was to make an instrument which helps the team to analyse failures easier.

In my BSc thesis I will present the process of the development of this measuring instrument for transmission controller testing from the aim to the realization.

First of all I write short about the construction and operation of a transmisson control unit. After that I define the requirements I had to take into consideration during the development. With the block diagram of the system I would like to make transparent the operation of my device. Furthermore I review the components and schematic of the system. Naturally I write about the design of the printed circuit board and about the process of the soldering. I present the software development on the microcontroller unit and the testing of the parts of my measuring device. I also document the failures I made and I document how I managed to repair theese failures too. Last but not least I rate my work and suggest some developing possibilities.
