Creating a platform to support delivery services

Eating is on the base level of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. In our accelerated world often, the easiest way to fulfill this need is by ordering food. Despite the high tech world we are living in, the process of the food delivery can make our life harder. Suboptimal utilization of courier capacity, obsolete management methods used by restaurants and the lack of use of IT systems can easily lead to a long waiting for the pizza we ordered.

After digging into the problem we decided to develop a software with my classmate Barnabás Szénási. Providing a local delivery management platform for the restaurants, and helping their work with a delivery-as-a-service we could improve the user experiment of their customers. The system solves a number of problems: tracking couriers, simplifying the administration of delivery requests, assigning tasks, optimizing. Thus, we are not only providing value for the restaurants, but we can make the complex food delivery process more streamlined.

There are some systems like this already abroad already, and they have started to distribute in Hungary. Our solution differs slightly from these so it helps to find the perfect solution. It may be worthwhile to build a business on our software after we completed our half-year live testing of it.
