Today, the job seeking area is in increasingly important role, in Hungary. In this declining economic situation is not easy to find an ideal job. So many factors are playing role during the job seeking. In my work, I surveyed what kind of job search engines are on the Web, and what kind of advantages and disadvantages belong to them (especially the geographical issues). I collected some functions that we haven’t met yet, and according to these functions, I designed and implemented a jobseeker portal, that produces mapping and travelling information. In my thesis, I used the geographical position and the job route to rank the job offers. It was important for me to displaying some data which help the user planning the job route. I focused on the travel time and the geographical distance and how to get to the concerned workplace. In my work, I was introduced to the concept of Geomarketing, I studied in greater depth the main fields of application. After this, during the development of the portal, I used the theoretical knowledge which is related to my task. I made the plan of the geographical job search engine, and then I programmed it. At the end of my work the site was functionally tested, and I created user documentation.
