One could say, that internet is the most important invention of the last century. Nowadays it has become a part of everyday routine. It has reformed every aspect of life including entertainment. Because of the evolution of technology, we can access the internet from nearly anywhere, using various devices. More and more people use their mobile phones instead of their personal computers. More gamers use their smartphones to play with games. In this case, the internet has a lot of advantages, because the online applications are easier to port to another platform, as opposed to traditional programs. That is why it is important to have a deep understanding towards web technologies.

In my thesis I am implementing a HTML5 based real-time multiplayer game. Furthermore, the porting to mobile platform is discussed, including the problems during implementation. The created game is server-client based, therefore the paper demonstrates the nature of this approach through the occurring issues.

After the introduction and specification of the task, I introduce the technologies used throughout my thesis. This is followed by the implementation of the offline parts; after that it is extended with online features in order to have a multiplayer mode. Finally I describe the porting of the implemented game to a mobile platform.
