In the 21st century, achieving great results completely by your own is quite challenging. Collaboration, continous communication between team members and colleagues are extremely important, no matter, if the focus is on a softwares’ development, a marketing campaign or a simple hobby project at home. Cross-functional team participants can help solving problems by deadline, hand in hand with a good task tracking process.
During the work I designed and implemented a student management system with web technologies, in which teachers can track their student’s thesis or laboratory research progress in actual semester, organize meetings with them, check their common e-mail history, deadlines, commitments and create private notes also. An additional, well-structured dashboard makes users’ life even easier, because with color indicators, these provide instant visual feedback about all students, with which teacher can immediately see, where he or she should intervene, and contact people.
The thesis included requirement analysis, planning infrastructure elements and infrastructure itself, designing and implementing interfaces, data flows, structural solutions, automatic regression testing, installing to university servers, so basically the whole delivery lifecycle was covered.
