Managing Network Traffic Measurment Data with Database Support

In my thesis I reviewed the eligible tools for network monitoring, then I specified the soon-to-be created system, which is able to consistently store different detail levels of traffic information (flow, packet) and able to visualize it graphically. After that, I designed and created the database which is able to store the data, and the user interface for it. While designing and creating it, I payed attention that the completed application's database and its user interface could be easily altered depending on the user's demands. I used a lot of useful softwares and technology, gathering further knowledge in SQL, PHP and Javascript programming languages. I applied the built-in functions of the PHP language for MySQL database management. By creating the graphical interface, and I payed attention to validate and process the values given by users when inputting data. I used also already existing components to complete my work, I configured and integrated them. With the developed system one can display and investigate the collected traffic data at flow and packet level with filtering capabilities, in tabular and graphical forms.
