Today more and more people use mobile internet. The spreading of smartphones, mobile applications that have to be online and high definition videos increase the used network capacity and bandwidth. Third generation networks are available in almost every city. Increasing usage effects that mobile cells can’t serve fully the increased needs in peak time, so becomes more and more necessary to introduce new technologies that provide more capacity and bandwidth. Before the real fourth generation networks, LTE (Long Term Evolution) offers solution for the capacity problems. In Hungary LTE service start-up was at 2012th January 1. First part of my thesis presents shortly describes the attributes of the LTE.
In the second part of this job I create a testing environment and a LTE simulator, which is able to analyse network-wide transmission and subscriber-level quality parameters. I try to do the measurements in the most realistic curcumstances, that the results show the truth. During the measurements I will analyse different subscriber-level parameters consequenty the change of other parameters.
