In my thesis I designed and implemented human capital management functions for a small / medium sized organization. The overall goal was to give the disorganized tasks an accurate process, so they can be executed more efficient, faster and with fewer errors. Microsoft Sharepoint was chosen as the implementation framework, because it was already set up at the company and it is capable of creating the demanded functions. First I review the capabilities of the SharePoint system, in particular which are the most used. Then I detail the design and implementation steps of the modules.
I have created a module to manage the employees’ holidays, the application and approval process, as well as it can check the availability of substitution. In addition, I have created a system for managing work schedules, which received a framework and helps the workers to be properly informed of their worktime and workplace. Third module is to manage the projects, where you can store and manage the corresponding data, documents and tasks.
