Smart Socket microcontroller design

The topic of my MSC thesis is „smart socket microcontroller design”. My task was to plan and build a device, in that an electrical outlet has to be plugged in, so the device can supervise it. The relay in the device can be switched with the buttons on the device or through wireless internet connection. A webserver runs in the socket, so other devices can comminicate with it. The device can measure the current and power consumption, and the plugged-in devices can be switched on or off with timers. I designed a wiring diagram of a version, which has a local display too.

The first step was to specify the task. Next I had to choose the suitable parts. I chose the brands I know, and the parts I used before. The third step was to plan the wiring diagram and the printed circuit board. When the printed circuit board was ready, I had to solder the parts on it, resuscitate the device and to program it. Because an unknown error, the microcontroller got wrong, so I had to continue the work with a development board. The last step was to test the device and to document the process.
