Development of Javascript-based registration system

In my thesis, I joined the develpoment of a modern technology based web registry system. The software is constructed for the Duna Museum in Esztergom and its primary goal is to change the current system for an up-to-date one, which is also richer in properties.

The project provides a great opportunity to extend knowledge on the web development of server and client side, as well as new technologies that satisfy nowdays’ expectations of users and developers.

The system consists of two important components. One is the client side application, that provides user interface for the handling of data. The other proceeds the received data and realizes the communication with the database on backend side. During the project, the construction of the two applications meant the biggest challenge. Furthermore, what has to be highlighted here is the importance of JavaScript, as both softwares based on it. Another related and essential tool is TypeScript, that builds on JavaScript and has modern language elements, which helps creating a more maintainable codebase.

By the continous communication with the museum, the system development meets the needs of client. Although many desired functions were accomplished, the development did not come to its end, as there are plenty of new features waiting for implementation, that could make the system more effective and user friendly.
