My thesis is intended to introduce Hungarian software companies’ testing procedures, and compare them with the international expectations as formulated by the (International Software Testing and Qualifications Board, ISTQB). The Reader learns about the foundations and modules of ISTQB software tester training, and the structure and levels of Test Maturity Model integration. Later on, I introduce two Hungarian companies’ processes; one of them is a software development company, and the other is a software testing company. Firstly, the development, documentation and closely related testing processes are described and compared against the known principles of international training courses; then the same takes place with testing procedures of the testing company. After presenting these, I show how I would classify the testing company according to TMMi. Then, taking into account the development opportunities, I describe the advantages and disadvantages of using automation and profiling in testing. Last but not least, I introduce a software specification, for testing support, structure and operation. This software was developed by me, and it assists testers to build their test environment for the preferred manual testing.
