Thanks to the rapid expansion of electronic and informatics solutions in the automotive industry more and more complex systems have been emerged. Data recording, debugging and simulation procedures became necessary to ease development. In this thesis I searched for solutions to record, store and decode communication data between software components of a driver assistance function based on a camera. In the followings I will show how developers can look for bugs and resimulate the function with the help of measurement data. I've completed the task and checked the result on camera provided by Bosch. I was supporting the function development of ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) with the tools I've developed.
In the first part of this thesis I introduce a procedure to collect and store data. In the next part I present solutions I found to deserialize the information. In the third part I give examples for use cases that enhance and improve development. In the last part I summarize the results of my work.
