Nowadays the Building Automation Systems are becoming popular from the family houses to the office buildings, especially the way of comfort and versatility in the control of air-conditioning, lighting and access control systems. At the same time it is very important to use the energy sources efficiently. This is solvable if the buildings have the right intelligent control system.
KNX is one of the solutions. The vitals of the KNX systems that it is not necessary to use a lot of cables, because the participants can communicate via one bus cable.
The first part of my thesis is about the development, construction and properties of the KNX system and standard and the reasons, why I choose the KNX system.
In the second part contains the needs assessment, the selection and emplacement of the suitable devices.
The main part of the thesis is about the realization of the project, the selection of the best opportunities and the system configuration in the building.
At the end of the thesis is the valuation of the realization, and the specification of the occurrent failures.
