Comfort automotive electronic control unit vector CANON functionality verification test environment

During my thesis I got familiar with lots of knowledge those are elementary for experienced test engineers. For example I studied the UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) standard which gives the chance for diagnostic testers to communicate and change information with ECUs (Electronic Control Unit) through CAN bus. Moreover I was studying the standard of Network Management to be able to understand how ECUs can get information of each other and how they can arrange themselves to go to sleep mode together for reaching a low energy state.

After getting this knowledge I had to study the hardware and software tools of Vector. These tools are the CANoe that makes it possible to run simulations and tests on PC and the VN8900 is the interface between the PC and the body computer. During the test making period I got familiar with CAPL too. It is a C based language for writing testcases in CANoe.

At the end after studying the specification of the additional water pump I created the test for the control software of it. In my thesis the know-how of its operation and the results of the tests is written.
