My thesis is about developing an online websop with a mobile client, using .NET technologies. It contains the introduction of the used technologies and the description of the created application.

The webshop’s consumer’s goods consist of computer products. The products are stored in a tree category system: the depth of the categories is optional and any category may contain any number of subcategories. Detailed searching (using certain properties of the products) is supported between the products and the marking of whether the product’s sale price is reduced or not. Each product has a detailed page for further information. The webshop provides a web-based interface for administrator functions.

Certain functions should be implemented as a WCF service (too), because the searching, listing of the reduced price products, and the mobile client are Silverlight applications, which run on the client, therefore web services are necessary for reaching the server.

The application’s use cases and multy-level architecture with its layers are shown in this documentation.
